# URGENT: Signal Request to omit the funding of Defense Fund in the next Executive Spell

## Overview

During the last MIP cycle the SPF for the Defense Fund ([thread](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/mip55c3-sp14-defense-fund/19076), [poll](https://vote.makerdao.com/polling/QmUbqKMy#vote-breakdown)) got approved which implies a transfer of 5 million DAI into a 2/3 multisig.

## Rationale

Putting five million DAI in the hands of a two-of-three multisig is not reasonable. Unless a more robust solution is in place, we should hold back transfering the funds.

#### Pros

* we are not going to risk the approved funds to two 5-dollar-wrench attacks

#### Cons

* the SPF was approved
