# Good morning everybody! Welcome to the 11 o'clock session: OER in Higher Education in Mannheim --- ## 1. Let's get to know each other :) ...and play the four-fields-game with me! --- ## 2. Get access to this pad Please type in this short link into your browser (if possible, use Firefox, it works best): https://kurzelinks.de/oerforheinma --- ## 3. What is OER? A quick introduction. Find the presentation here: https://c.ueberknall.de/s/dERknZXYCdqYyes And check an overview over the different CC licence formats here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CC_License_Requirements.png --- ## 4. It's action time! Work in pairs. Download the presentation "My presentation" from https://c.ueberknall.de/s/dERknZXYCdqYyes. You want to share this presentation as OER. But there are some things you should check beforehand (also note the helpful links and tips at the bottom): 1. Make sure, all your pictures are cited correctly. If not, correct the citation. 2. Make sure, all your pictures are CC (Creative Commons) licenced. If not, replace them with CC pictures. 3. On page 5, you would like to present the information in a table. Please quickly create a table (e.g. on excel, etc.) and add your own CC licence. 4. Now you want to share your presentation in a repository. Check out the possibilities. ### Helpful links and tips: * Check out the Creative Commons (CC) Search for pics and more: https://search.creativecommons.org/ (u.a. Pixabay, Flickr, ...) * In Google you can use the "extended search" to include or exclude certain licence types. Try it out! * Did you already know the "Google reverse picture search"? Check it out! * Create your own CC licence: https://creativecommons.org/choose/?lang=en * Central repository for Baden-Württemberg universities: https://www.oerbw.de/ * EU repository (you can share your OER under the "lesson" format): https://zenodo.org/ --- ## 5. Make a plan Now that you have learned about OER and different possibilities to use them, please write yourself an e-Mail, including your next steps for working with OER in your teaching (if you want to). If you just want to send yourself some loveletter, feel free to do so, too ;) Please go to https://mailnudge.de/. --- ## 6.
