# Mother's Maiden Name

The entrypoint for this puzzle is a [web page](https://bbs.goldbug.cryptovillage.org/puzzles/2023/blagoblag/) which resembles a desktop containing a lot of fictional data in the form of social media websites. On the desktop, there are applications/sites called "TwitSpace", "SyncedIn" and "GoldHub/SecLists" as well as a TODO list. In the TODO list, one point stands out:

> -Get Oxford Mechanica's credentials, I know the
username is "root" but still need to find the password"

This indicates that the goal of the puzzle is to find the password for root.

Viewing the HTML source code of the page and searching for "root" reveals one other match in Leo Patel's TwitSpace posts:

Looking at Leo's SyncedIn shows that they are CISO at Oxford Mechanica which clues that we are on the right track:

Their post on TwitSpace hints that we should look at previous CISO's of Oxford Mechanica, which leads to Leo Rossi who has an interesting post of TwitSpace:

This further indicates that we should look at previous Oxford Mechanica employees. Looking through for a few of them, we eventually stumbled across the answer. It was also narrowed down by the fact that we knew the answer had to be 15 characters (to fit with the meta) and we started with passwords that were repeated in the password list. The correct password was found from Liam Gonzalez, who was a Network Intern at Oxford Mechanica between 06/2022 and 03/2023 and had made this post on TwitSpace:
