--- tags: ocaml.org --- # Goals of OCaml.org v3 The OCaml.org infrastructure came about as a result of a community effort to pull together a new modern site design for OCaml in 2011. TODO fill in. ## v1 (2011-2013) This was the original ocaml.org site. TODO history ## v2 (2013-2021) When the opam package manager was launched, more capabilities were added. In addition to the website, there were: - opam.ocaml.org to handle package archives and manuals for the new package manager - (2012-2018) forge.ocaml.org for source code hosting. - (2014-) lists.ocaml.org for email lists for the community - (2017-) inbox.ocaml.org as an archive of the caml mailing list with a more accessible interface. - (2016-) Docker container images pushed to ocaml/opam on the Docker Hub - (2019-) discuss.ocaml.org as a web-based forum. ## v3 (2021-) May 2021 marks the 25th birthday of OCaml, so this seemed list a good time to do a revamp of the infrastructure. - ocaml.org is
