# SSV Corps The SSV Corps is a gamified community driven growth plan to structure and incentivize community members to develop and grow SSV. Inspired by [Link Marines](https://www.chainlinkecosystem.com/ranks) and [MakerDAO's Core Units](https://collateral.makerdao.com/resources/core-units-contacts) The Crops objective is fulfill many and diverse responsibilites and jobs to grow and make the SSV Network successful. The Corps is an ever evolving and growing organization adapting to the needs of the larger community. The Corps can someday grow to thousands of members all focused on their tasks, going up the ranks ladder and being incentivized doing so. The Corps avatars could be similar to gamified "Worms 3D game" like figures with ranks and roles within the game ![](https://i.imgur.com/bC3ILki.png) Although there is a signifcant elemnt of gamification, the goal of the corps is to structure and organize crucial activities for the SSV network. ## Corps Structure The Corps is directed by a 4 start general nominated by the DAO. The Corps commander has several branches under him, each with a 3 start general (nominated by the DAO). The Corps commander has a DAO nominated/ Community selected COO (3 star) The branch commanders have COO (their second in command) which are filled by community members reaching 2 start general rank. Branches have units in them (equivalent to current working groups), commaded by community members who reached 1 start general rank. Units are 4-10 people each. Smaller units can be commanded by a colonel/ Lieutenant Colonel as well. All other positions are held by elisted personal and lower ranking officers. **Example Corps organizational chart** ![](https://i.imgur.com/gkdnx9z.jpg) ## The 3 leg rule As with anything in the military, everything has 3 legs. The Corps has 3 branches, a branch has 3 units, a unit can have 3 teams and so on. The size of a branch or a unit can vary as the Corps grows, i.e. at the begining a simple team can 4 people, 3 teams are a unit and 3 units is a branch. ## Corps Commanding Officer The Corps comanding officer is a 4 start general nominated by the DAO. His reponsibilities are evovling and growing the Corps, representing the SSV DAO, relay communication to the community and token holders and outreach to other communities/ projects. The Corps COO is a 3 start general responsible for the daily operations of the entire Corps ## Moving up the ladder Everyone start as a private. Coordinape GIVE tokens are used to measure work/ engagement and enable moving up the rank ladder (bleow is a table of # of accumulated GIVE to move between ranks). Ranks are granted by the branch commander or the Corps' COO in the form of NFTs Each ranking member will receive a monthly GIVE budget to assign to other community members he worked with. GIVE budget is only given to active service members (non active members can have ranks but will not receive GIVE as they are not actively serving). Abuses can be detected by ranking officers which will result in kicking out abusers out of the Corps Service members can be discharged from the corps by 2/3/4 star generals. Service members can be dihonorably discharged (striped out of their rank) by 3/4 star generals. 2/3 start generals can be discharged by the Corps General. Every service member must be assigned to 1 or more units/ teams. ## Corps Budget The Corps has a pre-defined budget.
