## Agenda
- [x] **"Help Hero" Discord role for people helping others out**
Some people on the discord server stand out helping other people with their questions about nushell. To honor these people we want to create a badge. But since this highlights them as targets for questions, we should ask them first if they want to have such a badge.
- [ ] Ambitious goal: 500 issues in the remaining 5 months of 2025
- announce it
- encourage issue openers to close if they can confirm it resolved
- general encouragement for fixing stuff and addressing inconsistencies
- [x]
## Discussed Topics
### Brief start topic
Discord notification system
- womp womp we didn't receive a notification for this meeting (only for the interested ones after an explicit start)
- Bot, internal calendar as alternate solution.
### help-hero tag on discord
- concern tagging brigade:
- not-taggable
- not-appearing in the sidebar
- just colored badge
- Piepmatz takes care of setting up
### 500 issues in the remaining 5 months of 2025
- endorse `Discussion` for questions
- open-ended ideas could move to the `Discussion/ideas`
- consider converting to Discussions
- Downside of Discussions: no labelling, assignment etc.
- issue labels
- we have super ambiguous onese
- label: prefixes (rust A- for area etc.)
- cleanup
- have a document explaining their scope (longer than the short description)
- [Labels](https://hackmd.io/@nucore/rJ7XJHb_eg)
- Rose: have the discusssions tab appear in the `#github-updates`
- next steps:
- announce that we would like to close 500 issues by end of 2025
- Michael and Bahex will start to go through labels and see how they are being used in practice
https://hackmd.io/d574LQorTAGigMmGcrb-OQ
- once this is complete, we can have a smaller meeting for those interested to spend some time categorizing and re-evaluating our existing labels
- close feature requests which are not well-defined, or otherwise firmly out of scope
- do we move these to discussions?
- add a new label for features that are well-defined but that the core team is not interested in adding (possible name: "wishlist")
- examples: formal grammar, features from other shells
- if someone comes along to work on it, we would be interested, but currently we aren't realistically going to implement it
Lot's of marker label ideas, not done on that front yet
- `endorsed`
- `feature-ideas`
- `` something about like we're interested in the idea but core team isn't really interested in implementing it
