# Depositing To supply liquidity to an asset on Maneki.finance and begin earning rewards, you can follow the steps below: ## Step 1 Connect your wallet to Maneki.finance, currently we support Metamask wallets. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/r1GateR9h.png) ## Step 2 Select the asset for which you would like to supply liquidity. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/Syebcl0c3.png) Note that the figures provided alongside each asset indicate the following: - Total Supply - Current liquidity provided for this asset - Total Borrowed - The amount of this asset currently borrowed - Deposit APY - The Annual Percentage Yield earned on deposited assets - Borrow APY - The Annual Percentage Yield paid on borrowed assets ## Step 3 Next, click on the 'Supply' button in the right section ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HyFljgCc2.png) Enter a desired amount and click 'Supply' followed by the asset that you selected ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1fNol09n.png) Note that “Collateral” is always turned on, this means that when you supply an asset to the platform, it will automatically be enabled for use as collateral for borrowing against another asset. You will see your borrow limit update to illustrate the new amount you will be able to borrow after depositing the entered value of the asset. When you are ready, hit the Supply button. You will then need to confirm transactions and pay gas fees in your wallet to complete the deposit of capital. # Borrowing You can use deposited assets as collateral to borrow against. The amount you may borrow in relation to your collateral depends on the type of asset being used as collateral. You can find your borrow limit in your dashboard. Assets and volume available to borrow depends on the liquidity of the supplied asset. If there is no liquidity, you would need to wait for a new user or the platform to supply more, or for a loan to be repaid. ## Step 1 Click the asset you wish to borrow: ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/SyNS3xCch.png) ## Step 2 Enter the amount you wish to borrow and then hit the “Borrow” button. You will then need to sign a transaction and pay gas fees in your wallet to complete the borrow transaction. You may also need to enable the asset in your wallet and pay a gas fee before you can complete the transaction. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/SkFFhgRc3.png) You can find the amount of your outstanding borrowed assets in your dashboard, along with any remaining borrow limit. # Liquidation A liquidation is a process that occurs when a borrower's Health Factor is reduced to 1 or lower due to their collateral value not properly covering their loan/debt value. This might happen when the collateralized asset decreases or the borrowed debt increases ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/rk2wAxC5n.png) To reduce the risk of liquidation, you can repay any outstanding loans or deposit additional collateral to increase your Health Factor. ## Liquidators Liquidators are advanced DeFi users that have developed automated systems (ie. bots) to monitor collateralized positions and seek out loans that are eligible for liquidation. These bots then interact with the protocol's L2Pool contract and initiate a `liquidationCall()`. This enables Liquidators to pay back part of the debt owed and receive discounted collateral in return (also known as the liquidation bonus). This liquidation mechanism incentivizes third parties to participate in the health of the overall protocol by acting in their own interest (to receive the discounted collateral) and as a result, ensure that borrows are sufficiently collateralized across the protocol. ## Liquidation Penalty & Risk Parameters | Asset | LTV | Liquidation Threshold | Liquidation Penalty | | ----- | --- | --------------------- | ------------------- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | # Legal Disclaimer Please read this disclaimer carefully before using https://app.maneki.finance and/or any of its sub-domains (hereinafter referred to as the "Website").By using the Website, you confirm that you accept this legal disclaimer and agree to comply with it.
