# EOS Subsystem Cross Play

## Considerations
In order for cross platform to work with EOS we will need a [cross platform provider](https://docs.redpoint.games/eos-online-subsystem/docs/auth_configuration#available-cross-platform-account-providers).

### Providers

#### Epic Games
- Easy to integrate
- No additional configuration required
- Will require login to EGS via web ui

#### Simple First Party (Username/Password)
- No "optics" issue to worry about
- Will require our own [backend auth server](https://docs.redpoint.games/eos-online-subsystem/docs/auth_xplat_simplefp/).

### Cross-Platform Friends

#### Epic Games

Having the user sign in with EGS will allow us to retrieve friends list and other friend details, without additional configuration.
