Sharon: asking Tim about Solid Chat Tim: Solid chat does have similar capability to Gitter, it has search, it's functional, have a lot of issues where it needs improvement, doesn't have notifications to mobile (but it will notify web page); otherwise functionality similar to Gitter, need to work on MD a bit Noel: there are issues with impersonation, very important Tim: that might need a new server Noel: They discussed this in security meetup Tim: attended that meeting, they would like for our group to demo what we can do and can't do with Solid chat, and what would it take to move the community to Solid chat; Sharon: I could maybe put presentation together, should I? Tim: yes, TY Sharon: I could present at the CG (??) meeting, when is that; I can do that presentation in 2 weeks; will follow up with us with some questions Noel: There are issues open, Alain has been doing tests Tim: there was chat about it, I'll [link](https://gitter.im/solid/chat-app) in the minutes #### Zhilin / Claudine questions Claudine: Just here to soak up knowledge and get a sense of what's going on in community, and see how I could contribute, and benefit from expertise inn n community Zhilin: same for me #### Alain topic: JSON-LD latest version, is there a way to convert a package to not be ESM (?) Noel: whole system is moving to ESM; I have the opposite probblem, I want everything to be ESM Tim: you used to be able to mix them, didn't you? recently you couldn't do "require" anymore, Node is getting stricted about it Noel: you can use a library, JSON-LD-Streaming-parser to get around this, not sure what parts of code are using it Alain: not sure Tim: it will ahve something it wants to write to, Noel: It parses quads...will share link in gitter Alain: input is not a probem, the output...I will look at Noel: Parser library: [jsonld-streaming-parser](https://github.com/rubensworks/jsonld-streaming-parser.js) #### Timea topic: planning board in Miro Timea: Summing up the votes: improving the UI/UX won by far But a good question, what does that particularly mean. Afterwards the topic of dynamically loading panes Next was adding CSS to build tests (?), this is done to some extent by Alain I will sum up results and make a priority list and post it on Gitter channel, and would like for us to break these topics down, and discuss what needs to be done Maybe we can focus and achieve at least one of these topics this year--doesn't have to be ideal Tim: should we add something about improving the chat? Timea: the planning is there for a grander vision, but we are volunteers here, so we have limited time, but maybe we can form a working group in the next year to focus on Chat, but we need to see some further commitment by at least 2 people--same as all topics, we need people to show commitment to working on Tim: Same problem with other issues, you can have working group, but that doesn't mean people will show up Timea: we will see how this progresses, see what Sharon does with presentation, try to see what are the problems and what are the priorities Tim: Yeah. Timea: These three topics (above) are the main ones, would anyone like to be a topic owner of any of these? Doesn't need necessarily any coding, just someone to keep up interest in the topic--if you need more information, direction, etc., I can help. So, we just need someone for each topic who has desire and motivation, and can aliugn with the vision. --- This template is based on the [W3C meeting template](https://github.com/solid/specification/blob/main/meetings/template.md) [Code of conduct](https://github.com/solid/process/blob/main/code-of-conduct.md)
