### Round Table
#### Noel
- Started adding Solid functionality to [Aerogel](https://aerogel.js.org/). Has been going well, intend to make a demo to create a "fully fledged" Solid App using the framework in less than 10 minutes.
- Next week will attend a conference at work (will miss the weekly meeting). There has been some talk about Solid in the [OpenEdTech](https://openedtech.global/) chat, so hopefully I'll meet some of them in the conference.
#### Alain
- Has been thinking about the issue with appending in the Chat pane (discussed in technical topics).
- Has been thinking about Inrupt's call to migrate from NSS to CSS.
#### Chase
- Got back to work on improving the profile pane. Has been stuck on some architecture details, has to ask someone (Maybe Angelo?).
#### Matthias
https://meisdata.io
- Hacker ethics
- running a business
- active code programming or spec advancing obligatory ?
- anything beyond code
- feedback ?
#### Jon
- Kept looking into the AI+Solid experiment.
- Has been thinking about the onboarding for new developers with Sharon.
- Alain: Would it be too expensive to use? (the AI+Solid chat)
- Jon: The other day I was using it for a few hours and it only cost me a few cents.
- Alain: I'm just worried about the costs for an Open Source project, which doesn't have many resources. Maybe it'd be better to find a way to run AI in our personal servers.
- Jon: There are some out there but they don't seem so good an easy to use, for now OpenAI is easier and cheaper. Eventually the Open Source models should get better.
- Alain: Maybe you could find a way to propose this for a university project.
- Jon: I'd be open to that, but for now I'm just trying to see if it works.
### Main topics

### Technical topics
#### Append chat issue
- Alan: The problem is that a non-admin cannot create a message in a new day because they lack permissions. This is a blocker to complete the work in the chat pane.
- Matthias: Maybe this issue is related to that: https://github.com/SolidOS/chat-pane/issues/34
- Noel: I think this is a limitation of the protocol and as long as we keep this folder structure we cannot escape it.
#### NSS to CSS migration
- Inrupt is sponsoring a solution to the migration https://forum.solidproject.org/t/migrating-from-nss-to-css/6856
- Alain: I wonder why nobody said anything?
- Noel: Maybe some people is interested, but they contacted through the email and are having discussions in private.
#### Meisdata
- Matthias is thinking on creating a business hosting Solid PODs, and wants some feedback on what to keep in mind. Wants to do it as openly as ethically as possible.
- Noel: I think there is a gap in the market for a serious POD provider targeted at individuals (B2C). All the existing companies that come to mind are targeted at other companies (B2B). So I think there's an opportunity there. But I think if you want to make a business out of that, you need to have some value proposition that would make someone choose your POD instead of the free alternatives. Also, B2B (Business to Business) are notable easier to make work than B2C (Business to Customer).
