Project Name: Seamless Frame
Project Sector/Type: Client app.
Project Summary: Create Farcaster frame that allows every user of the Farcaster protocol to interact with Seamless right from the Farcaster client apps. It utilises transactions functionality of the frames and allows to fully interact with the Seamless protocol. So users can provide liquidity, take loans and manage their positions without leaving the Warpcast app (or any other Farcaster client with frames support).
About the Team (+location): I have build and launched 6+ Farcaster frames since their introduction in Feb 2024. Notable ones include: token swap frame, token-gated frame, upload to ipfs frame, nouns proposals frame, allowlist frame, minting frame. I have been building for Nouns DAO and other crypto projects since 2021. You can find more of my projects on the website.

Market Research (target users, competitors, market potential, pain points):
Target users are Farcaster decentralised social network users. Farcaster is the fastest-growing decentralised social network that has tens of thousands of daily active users at the time of writing.
The biggest benefit is that the community is Based, crypto first, so everyone has a wallet. The main pain point solved by this frame is the need to leave the app to interact with the protocol which leads to unneeded friction for the user.
At the time of writing, there are no direct competitors with frames for the Seamless protocol with only one lending/borrowing frame built that utilises the Timeswap protocol.
Detailed Project Info
Goals/Objectives + Relevance to Seamless Protocol/Community:
Seamless is the Base native protocol and Base is the most used L2 chain by Farcaster users, so Seamless frame will be the perfect way to merge two communities.
As Farcaster frames is extremely new I don’t expect big gross amounts to be lent/borrowed via frames at the launch since it's a very new tech and people use it somewhat cautiously at the moment. But as the trust and familiarity grow we can expect to see usage grow in line with the growth of the Farcaster protocol.
Roadmap:
Stage 1 - Launch the lending functionality for ETH with the account overview views(i.e supply/borrow dashboard).
Stage 2 - Launch the borrowing functionality for the ETH.
Stage 3 - Roll out lending/borrowing for all other supported tokens.
Post-launch - keep updating the frame with new tokens, and functionalities in line with the Seamless protocol growth.
Relevant Milestones/Metrics (Now and Future):
Stage 1 completion with initial soft launch will take place no later than 2 weeks after the proposal approval. I expect at least 10 onchain lending tx from the Farcaster users in the first week after the soft launch.
Stage 3 can be expected to be completed in one month after the proposal approval with 100 lending/borrowing transactions performed by the users.
Funding Request + Budget Breakdown:
$14200 total.
- 25% (3550$) paid upfront.
- 75% (10650$) released after Stage 3 completion.
$9000 will be used for initial development and marketing. With $5200 used for one year of support and updates.
