# How to use NFTStory on testnet

Welcome to the NFTStory Alpha test! Please do not post this document on social media just yet. A little surprise is more fun 🎩🐇🔮

## Introduction

The main ethereum network is called Mainnet. Testnets, such as Rinkeby, are playgrounds where developers can test their contracts (software) before its ready to deploy to mainnet. You will be playing with worthless money on the Rinkeby testnet during this alpha test. Testnet NFTs, however, may not be worthless.

## Instructions
### Setting up your Ethereum Wallet
1. Install a wallet if you don't have one. Get [Metamask](https://metamask.io/download) or [Rainbow](https://rainbow.me/).
2. Switch your wallet's network to **Rinkeby**. Metamask and Rainbow examples:
- **(Optional)** If you would like to keep your Ethereum mainnet address private, create a new Ethereum address. New addresses are disconnected from your existing address, but share the same private key, so you won't need to make a new password.
3. Get Rinkeby Ether (Ξ) from the [Rinkeby Faucet](https://faucet.rinkeby.io/) -- or ask Nico to send you some.
### Start testing NFTStory
4. Go to **[the current test build](https://rinkeby.nftstory.life)** and test it out! Make sure you set your network to Rinkeby (see Step 2). Find a buyer in our [Alpha tester Discord channel](https://discord.gg/KnFG2JNgDH)!
- Note: Each new build version will have a new address so make sure you're using the version listed here which I will update.
5. Report bugs to Nico.
- You can report bugs in our [Discord](https://discord.gg/zp5RXURfSF).
- Please include a screenshot and console logs. To get console logs, open your browser's developer tools (F12 key) then open the console (Escape key) and copy-paste everything in the console (see screenshot example).
- 

## Known bugs
- Change Price button does not yet work.
- Draw canvas does not work well.
