Both events are free and can be attended online. If you are not already familiar, Nextflow is a highly popular workflow system that emphasises scalable and reproducible scientific workflows (https://nextflow.io). nf-core is a community that builds and maintains best-practices curated analysis pipelines (https://nf-co.re), spanning a wide range of bioinformatics domains that include genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. The Nextflow and nf-core community training is being streamed on the 13th-16th March and will cover the basic concepts for writing and running pipelines with Nextflow and nf-core. Prior experience with these tools are not required but an understanding of bash and writing pipelines will make it easier to understand the concepts being taught. The hackathon is being held online on the 27th-29th of March. It is a biannual event where the nf-core community gather online for 3 days of hacking all things nf-core. Some experience with Nextflow and nf-core is desirable but there are lots of tasks for new community members who want to start contributing in a supportive environment. To support the online for the hackathon further, **<COUNTRY>** will be hosting <NUMBER> 'local hubs' for the event in **<INSERT COUNTRY/INSTITUTE HERE>**. These are sites where community members can gather and attend the online event together. It is a fun experience, a chance to be in touch with lots of like-minded people and - should you really not feel like contributing code - there's always help wanted for improving documents, tutorials, and the website.
