Welcome to the Nebari community meeting!
## Guidelines
* This meeting is covered by [Nebari's Code of Conduct](https://github.com/nebari-dev/governance/blob/main/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md).
* Please feel free to participate in open discussions, share your projects, or sit back and listen!
* When you'd like to speak in a discussion, use Google Meet's **"raise hand"** feature, and wait for the moderator to call your name.
* We use [takingnotes.rocks](https://takingnotes.rocks/) to **randomly select a meeting moderator and note taker** at the begining of each meeting. We'll make sure to select returning members, as to not put new community memebers on the spot. :)
* The moderator is responsible for running the meeting, and giving everyone a speaking opportunity
* The note taker is responsible for recording all important points in this HackMD document, **and** post it on the [GitHub Discussions forum](https://github.com/orgs/nebari-dev/discussions/categories/community-meetings) after the meeting for better searchability.

## Updates and announcements
_Share ongoing work, new releases, something cool you built on Nebari, upcoming conferences, and more!_
* Vini:
* looked into oauth-to-proxy, an alternative to traefik-forward-auth (which we are currently using) -- example deployment on AWS: https://aws-vini-test.nebari.dev/hub/home
* very well supported, logs more useful info
* also looked into: https://grafana.com/oss/loki/
* will open issue/rfd
* Nebari can safely package AGPL licensed software -- needs to be documented as a part of governance
* Eskild, working on:
* Integrating jupyter-scheduler: https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari/issues/1755
* Local deployments for Mac
* Simplify CI (Eskild + Philip) -- feedback requested :)
* See [PR 1819](https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari/pull/1819)
* DO CI failure:
* Chris and Eskild are looking into it
* Philip is blocked on many PRs see https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aopen+author%3Apmeier+sort%3Aupdated-desc
* Tania: Do we want to continue supporting DO? (might have to become an RFD)
* Contingency plan ->
* Eskild will try and update the token for DO and see it fixes the issue (then take it from there)
* Philip can move forward if it's only DO failing even after the token update
* Governance docs updates
* Note that currently we need people in "Quansight"-org to run CI, we need to move this to a Nebari space?
* PR: https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari/pull/1819 (TODO: add some docs about the general workflow and the such)
* Johnny, update on CDS Dashboard refactor:
* Vini's auth experiments are the first steps
* No timeline
## Discussion topics
_Is there something we should discuss as a group? Something you want feedback on?_
_Note: If you have a usage question, our [Discussion Forum](https://github.com/orgs/nebari-dev/discussions) would be a place to ask. :)_
* Cancel next community meeting? Yes
* RFD discussions:
* Bitnami retention policy considerations - https://github.com/nebari-dev/governance/issues/21
* https://github.com/nebari-dev/governance/issues/22
* Open a new complementary-RFD for using conda-store to add JLab extensions?
