In my spare time, I enjoy ...] * ## Updates and announcements _Share ongoing work, new releases, something cool you built on Nebari, upcoming conferences, and more!_ * SciPy * JHub Apps was a bottleneck, when several people were accessing it at the same time * Dask - GCP limit on IPv4 addresses * Overall, all good :tada: * Specific highlights * Jupyter Gallery * Coupons * Support for user-installable / configurable JupyerLab extensions without changes to docker image. * Core team * PR for re-starting celery workers to fix (...?) * Looking into Rook/CEPH as an alternative file system * Should we allow users to switch btw NFS & Rook/CEPH? Or, switch default for all deployment? -- Not allow switching for now, make rook default after ~4 release where current users will hopefully have ways for backup-restore * Differentiate configs that can be change in real-time vs after a re-deploy. -- Need to document; look into adding visibility around this in the config file itself. * Jupyter-gallery updates * Two version bumps, with refreshed UI and a critical fix for xsrf issue already merged into docker images ([2024.6.1...main](https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari-docker-images/compare/2024.6.1...main), needs to be released, [full changelog](https://github.com/nebari-dev/jupyterlab-gallery/compare/v0.2.1...v0.3.3)) - we included these in the scipy image * for scipy we added branch/depth options, but did not use it in the end as it was a last minute request; it should be safe to merge [nebari#2556](https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari/pull/2556) and [nebari-docker-images#170](https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari-docker-images/pull/170) * Fine-grained permissions for Nebari & conda-store. It should be backwards compatible. Ref: https://github.com/nebari-dev/nebari-docs/pull/480 ## Discussion topics _Is there something we should discuss as a group? Something you want feedback on?_ _Note: If you have a usage question, our [Discussion Forum](https://github.com/orgs/nebari-dev/discussions) would be a place to ask. :)_ * Release timeline - wait for Vini & Marcelo to be back in office * [Arjun] Bumping the version of Jupyter Scheduler, need review * Try destorying the cluster fully, & re-deploy ## Actions _Clear action items with an assignee._ - [ ] Assignee - Action item
