  • Intro to NEAR for Senior Developers Today’s cryptonetworks suffer from limitations that keep them from seriously challenging centralized incumbents. The most severe limitations are around performance and scalability. The next few years will be about fixing these limitations and building networks that form the infrastructure layer of the crypto stack. After that, most of the energy will turn to building applications on top of that infrastructure. -- Chris Dixon, February 2018 The Map NEAR is a layer 1 smart contract platform (like Ethereum but cheaper and faster) that scales by parallelizing sharded storage and compute. NEAR Protocol uses Proof of Stake consensus with over 50 validators securing millions of transactions and hundreds of thousands of accounts as of summer 2021. • Overview Stablecoins are designed to be cryptocurrencies without the volatility. Meaning one unit of a stablecoin typically equals one unit of some other "real", fiat currency like the US Dollar or EURO. Stablecoins are designed to dramatically reduce volatility relative to other, unpegged cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Stablecoins pursue price stability by reserving assets as collateral or by using algorithms that control the supply of the stablecoin. What Does This Mean?

  • Welcome to TLDR with me, Ben! Today, we will briefly cover Ref.Finance - what is it? Getting started with it? and What can you do with it? One thing to note, is that I am NOT a financial advisor. The purpose of this video is educational. I'm here to explain the technology and how to use it. I will not cover things like exchange rates, pricing, or predictions. Overview Ref Finance is a community-led, multi-purpose DeFi platform built on NEAR Protocol. Inspired by Uniswap v2 and Curve Finance, Ref Finance is an automated liquidity protocol.
