We recommended install the BSD with ZFS.

# Install VMware Fusion
Visit https://customerconnect.vmware.com/downloads/get-download?downloadGroup=FUS-PUBTP-22H2 and download the **VMware-Fusion-e.x.p-20486664_universal.dmg**

Signup/Signin the vmware account

Open the .dmg file and install vmware fusion

# Install FreeBSD on M1/M2 MAC (ZFS)
## Download FreeBSD disc1 iso File
Go to https://download.freebsd.org/releases/arm64/aarch64/ISO-IMAGES/13.1/
Download `FreeBSD-13.1-RELEASE-arm64-aarch64-disc1.iso.xz`

Decompress the xz file
## Setup Virtual Machine
Click Install from disc or image

Select downloaded iso file

# Install FreeBSD on M1/M2 Mac (UFS)
## Download FreeBSD vmdk File
Go to http://ftp.jp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/VM-IMAGES/13.1-RELEASE/aarch64/Latest/ and download `FreeBSD-13.1-RELEASE-arm64-aarch64.vmdk.xz`

Decompress the xz file


## Setup Virtual Machine
Open VMware Fusion Click **File -> New**

Select **Create a custom virtual machine** and continue

Choose FreeBSD 64bit arm

Select **Use an existing virtual disk** and select the file you've been extracted in the previous step


## Resize the vm's disk size (optional)
Continue and open the **Virtual Machine -> Settings**

Go to **Hard Disk**

Resize the disk space you want

## Done
Open the VM and you will see the following welcome screen
