# RigorDAO Onboarding Slides

### Slide 1: What is RigorDAO
---
RigorDAO was formed to finance new home construction projects that are published by Builders on the Rigor DeFi Lending Platform. The DAO enables DeFi users to pool capital (USDC) and lend it to Home Builders on the Rigor Lending Platform in return for fair market interest rates.

### Slide 2: Elect Delegate & Form Lending Community

The target raise for RigorDAO is $4M, which can build 20 new homes on the Rigor Lending Platform ($200k average per home). Once the intiial capital is raised, the DAO will elect a delegate to register the DAO as a Lending Community on the Rigor Lending Platform.

### Slide 3: Review Loan Request

With the Lending Community formed, Home Builders can now request a loan from the RigorDAO Lending Community. Along with their loan request, the Builder must submit a detailed plan and any relevant paperwork for the DAO to review.

### Slide 4: Approve Loan

The RigorDAO members approve the loan and the Delegate submits the approval to the Lending Community on the Rigor Lending Platform.

### Slide 5: Lock in Escrow
---
The loan is locked in escrow when approved by the Lending Community on the Rigor Platform, and a wrapped USDC (rUSDC) token is issued to the DAO. The Builder's land is escrowed as colateral along with the loan, and the builder is then approved to start receiving capital.

### Slide 6: Tasks & Capital Release Schedule

Once the loan is in escrow, the Builder must create tasks to define work order and establish costs. Capital is then released to the Builder in cliffs as tasks are completed.

The Builder completes the project and repays the loan with interest to the Lending Community. The interest is deposited into the DAO treasury and the repaid capital can be recylced for another loan.
