Seriously, 1-2 hours isn't enough. There are two path ways. One is the party route that is more for locals and has lots of things to buy and mariachis to pay. The other is longer and quieter and more romantic but it goes by La Isla de la Muñecas, the island of the dolls. Which is was the direction I went on my honeymoon!
You must try the tlacoyos at La Chingada and you must drink pulque on the trajinera! Also, if you're brave enough go visit La Isla de la Muñecas. Bring cash in small bills and tip your gondalier well! And if you speak a lick of Spanish ask lots of questions. There's a play every year about La Llorona so if you're there in October catch that!
tip the trajinero at least 200 pesos.
