# Introduction > ### :memo: This is a public HackMD Team > * All notes here are readable to everyone. ## Quick Start Microsoft Teams is a collection of tools for collaborations. To start, ... 1. Create a Team for **a group of people who collaborate for the same goal/same project**. (_Started from March, 2020, new teams have to be created through Jarvis portal._) 2. Use **`General` Channel** for announcements, high-level information. Or, for smaller teams, directly use it for discussion/collaboration. 3. Create a **channel** for each topic. 4. Add **tags** to members so people can quickly mention certain members with `@`, e.g., `@QA`. 5. Assign **Team Owners** and **Channel Moderators** as admins. ## Cons ### Pitfalls (Highlighted) For more pitfalls, refer to [Pitfalls](/4evAUwtlSpah2FyS966tAg) page. 1. **Bad UI: Beware Danger Zones** Beware the **upper-right** corner. MS Teams will **immediately start** a meeting/call/screen sharing **without confirmation**. - ![](https://i.imgur.com/t3o3DYj.png =170x) ![](https://i.imgur.com/qbrQa70.png =170x) - Early adopters reported this **confirmation-less** brhavior annonying. - MS Teams Uservoice site have [several requests][voice-call-confirmation] on this issue. ## Pros - Can log-in to multiple devices at the same time. - Can fine tune notifications. ## References [voice-call-confirmation]: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/37202221
