# Terminologies

This page collects Microsoft Teams terminologies, abbreviations, and their definitions.

### 1. Team

Several people of the same goal/outcome/project, and collaborators.

### 2. Owner

Each team has owners (at least one) as its admins.

### 3. Channel

Each topic can form a channel for discussion, file sharing, ….
Always sorted alphabetically, with an exception of General Channel always on top.

### 4. General Channel

Each team has a General Channel for high-level information, announcements, the team's goal/vision.

### 5. Moderators

Each channel can have some moderators (can be none) as admins.
