# Buying an iPhone for Kim
Current phone: Moto G (5th Gen) [IMEI: 351887093457161], iPhone 6s
Wants to buy: iPhone 13 Pro Graphite 256GB

- 512GB: $1299 <-- this is the one I'm getting

- Other purchase decisions:
- We're definitely getting you AppleCare+ including accidental damage and loss
- We should pay $9 and get it delivered tomorrow >.> We could also pick it up, but I don't see why.
- We have the option of buying it pre-setup for T-Mobile or completely un-setup. I think pre-setup means that they put in a T-Mobile SIM before shipping it to you. Would you prefer that or to set it up yourself?
- Want a silicon case for $50? https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MM2G3ZM/A/iphone-13-pro-silicone-case-with-magsafe-blue-jay -- I usually buy a Spigen hard case (https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Compatible-MagSafe-Designed-iPhone/dp/B096HGL4N6/) for $20-$30 rather than that, and I like them a lot. But that's what Apple is hawking on their website.

- Trade-in iPhone 6s to T-Mobile
- 256GB: $1099
- We will get "up to $200" in trade-back value, BUT this will be applied as monthly bill credits for 30 months, i.e. $6.67/mo for 2.5 years. And if we cancel T-Mobile before then, we have to pay back the remaining amount. I don't think this is worth the bother.
- Buy directly from Apple this weekend
- 256GB: $1099
- Only "up to $30" in trade-back value on the iPhone 6s, so (1) I don't think it's worth the bother, but (2) it'd probably be nice to get that phone recycled? I don't think we need it any more.
- We also get $35.44 back on my Apple Card, yay
- Buy from Amazon
- Sadly, they don't sell 'em unlocked: you gotta buy it preconfigured for Cricket
- Buy from Best Buy: same price
- Buy from Walmart: not available
