# Lists to Allenton Management, October 12, 2020
DO NOT EDIT: MOVED TO https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hi7yRBdYZdrfzy3FCARQoLLyBYd-rjxPvlA_u2D86_E/edit?usp=sharing
## List of things that we would like fixed
### General
- None of the windows have proper windowsills/frames -- we're already seeing some chipping on top from the coverings for the blinds, and dents on bottom from things leaned against them (such as the windows themselves when opened fully). Could we install proper windowsills above the existing small windowsills?
### Kitchen
- The kitchen faucet is reversed (to get hot water you need to turn it right, not left) and the turning handle isn't tightly connected to the turning mechanism.
- Dishwasher installed slightly uneven to countertop; makes it harder to use due to door catching on screw on top, but also may result in strain to unit with ongoing use, and subsequently sooner end of life ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505819563), [Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506690617))
### Staircase
- Nails sticking slightly out of staircase ([Photos](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505580378/)) -- we can hammer them down as needed, but does not appear to be a permanent solution.
### Upstairs
- We need hand towel holders in upstairs bathrooms (we can install these ourselves if you prefer).
### Outside
- Front lawn is extremely lumpy, full of holes under and in the sod, and is unsafe to walk on.
## List of things that need to be noted
### All documentation photos on Flickr
- Available [on Flickr](https://www.flickr.com/gp/ggvaidya/227dk7).
### Throughout the house
- There are small bits of plastic in the air ducts - sometimes they get caught in the duct openings, make a flapping sound. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506454782))
- Window blinds are warped/sagging under own weight ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506297411/))
- Hinges on several doors appear to be coming out from use.
### Walls and paint
- Paint comes off drywall when removing masking (painting) tape (very low-quality drywall?).
- Paint comes off walls when washed with cold water.
- Wall paint colour/finish uneven in places, with hairs embedded in paint in places, randomly chipped in places; chips very easily.
### Plumbing and airconditioning
- Rust coming out of (hot?) taps (suspect that the water heater is likely permanently damaged/contaminated after initial installation issues that ruined the coil, electrical input, etc). This seems to have stopped after a few days, but just wanted to note this down in case this is a problem in the future.
- Hot water is very slow in general throughout unit (may just be how it is, or may be indicative of an actual issue/connected to other water heater problems). Possibly has also been improving with further use.
- AC unit banged at night due to warping at lower temperatures (fan position has been adjusted, which appears to have resolved this).
- Water heater was not working (after multiple visits, turned out issue was the heating element and other parts had blown out due to it being turned on before water was connected during home setup).
### Garage
- There's a small unpainted area beside the garage-home door. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506597927/))
### Space outside front door
- - Possible blood splatter on front porch wall ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506298681/))
### Downstairs toilet
- Sink in downstairs toilet installed at a tilt (the structure is fine, the walls aren't sagging from water damage, it was just installed... badly?)
### Kitchen
- There's a low-pitched whine coming from the fridge.
- There's a ding beside the fridge. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50506456022/))
- Sawdust coming out of various fans/outvents (especially stovetop) -- this seems to have stopped now, but we wanted to document it in case it returns. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505607923/))
- Stove surface is not entirely level (possibly just sagging in middle under its own weight/weight of things used on top of it).
- Microwave plate rattles.
### Patio
- There are a few black spots beside the patio-house door. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505576443/))
- The patio-garden door is partially obstructed by grass -- we're thinking of getting a few paving stones to keep it pressed down to prevent damage to the doors. ([Photo](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505579848))
### Backyard
- Spectrum technician had to connect the internet hookup cable to go to next unit over, not the one behind this unit, due to the one behind this unit already being in use.
### Upstairs
- The plastic tub/shower floors in bathrooms are difficult to clean (we had some rust in the pipes after the water heater problems, and have been unable to fully clean them out so far). ([Photo]())
- Some uneven painting on barrier in upstairs hallway. ([Photo]())
- Blinds railings for double windows are uneven.
- Dryer hose connected badly (was not connected at all when we moved in, and had large rip in the end). Seems good enough now, but may easily fall out again when moving dryer further.
### Master bathroom
- Shower floor in master bathroom covered in rust stain flecks due to above ([Photos](https://www.flickr.com/photos/ggvaidya/50505602138/))
- Right-most light flickers sometimes in master bathroom. Fixed with jiggling, for now.
