Being able to dumb code down enough so even someone like me, a journalism student, can easily create a page makes Markdown a very useful tool. Back in Fall 2020, I took a class here at Northeastern on Visual Storytelling. In that, we learned the basics of HTML in order to code a page for our [final project](https://essential.camd.northeastern.edu/to-bubble-or-not-to-bubble/index.html). It went smoothly, but I feel like a tool such as Markdown can actually make that process even easier. While there are video tutorials for HTML such as the one below, I feel as though Markdown is an easier tool for getting a page made instantly. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pQN-pnXPaVg" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <br/> <br/> Coding has become an increasingly necessary tool for early-career professionals. It's not required to know how, but the ability code can set an applicant apart. Especially in the journalism field, basic coding knowledge can help with website errors and make social media usage and embeds more effective. ![image alt](https://media.istockphoto.com/photos/business-can-not-wait-picture-id1221204650?k=20&m=1221204650&s=612x612&w=0&h=o5ACkYbD8pHjx71Xdgl0NPyySmHk3WsyX3FNFMqCsbU=)
