Cryptography is a powerful, open technology, but difficult to apply correctly.

People's digital life is siloed into applications, leaving them with little control or ownership over their data.

Applications must be open tools which the user can wield to construct their digital life.

An important step is need to make cryptography user-friendly, so that building great applications which respect users sovereignty becomes the norm.
