# Beat Documentation

1. Instal public Signing key:
`wget -qO - https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch | sudo apt-key add - `
2. You may need to install the apt-transport-https:
`sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https`
3. Save the repo definition to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/elastic-7..x.list:
`echo "deb https://artifacts.elastic.co/packages/7.x/apt stable main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/elastic-7.x.list`
4. Run apt-get abd install filebeat
`sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install filebeat`
- Reemplazar filebeat.yml por el señalado en Archivo filebeat a utilizar.
`nano /etc/filebeat/filebeat.yml`
- Configure filebeat to start automatically during boot:
`sudo systemctl enable filebeat`
12. Set up assets **Is it necesarry?**
```
./filebeat setup -e
```

## Ejecución
- To start filebeat
`systemctl start filebeat -c /etc/filebeat/filebeat.yml`
- Stop filebeat
`systemctl stop filebeat`
- Status and logs
`systemctl status filebeat`
- To reload with changes, you must reload systemd and restart service
```
systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl restart filebeat
```

## Si se modifica el procesador dissect para agregar un nuevo elemento
- Ir al menú > stack management > Kibana index Patterns > filebeat-* > hacer click en actualizar en la esquina superior derecha
## Alarmas
1. menu> stack management > alerts > create alert
2. Definir.
- Name
- check every 1 minute
- When the count of log entries with equip.log.level is error
