# Zoom Breakout Session Guide

### Prepend Your Name
Some staff are given co-host access by the course coordinator because they need to move between breakout rooms. These are given automatically at the beginning of the class so you don’t need to request this. And if you’re not given co-host access, it means that you’re not required to have one. So in order for you to be recognized whether you need co-host access or not, you must rename yourself in Zoom.
* Prepend your role (**Coach or TF**) to your name
* You can change your name by going to **Participants** > Find your name and hover over it > Click on **More** > **Rename**

### Join Breakout Room
1. If you are assigned to a specific breakout room, you just need to accept the invitation and click **Join** when the host opens the breakout rooms. But if you’re not assigned to a specific breakout room, you will see a prompt over the **Breakout Rooms** icon, asking you to **Join a breakout room**. 2. When you’ve already joined the room and you wish to transfer to another breakout room, click on the **Breakout Rooms** icon and proceed. Only click on **Join** to the right side of the Room No. you wish to move to. And please make sure NOT TO CLICK **Close All Rooms**.


3. While if you want to go back to the Main Session room with the host, click on Leave Room and choose Leave Breakout Room. If you happen to click to click on Leave Meeting you will be leaving the zoom session itself and you will be required to rejoin the session.
