# What is Unison
Unison offers a range of risk-adjusted vaults that allow users to deposit their assets to a central vault on Arbitrum and have them deployed to strategies with the most efficient allocations. These vaults are available on all of the chains supported by LayerZero.
For each asset, there are two options for users to choose from - Junior and Senior vaults. These options allow users to select the vault that aligns with their risk appetite.
To learn more about these vaults and the available strategies, please check out the "Vaults and Strategies" section.
### Vaults & Strategies
Unison Vaults are an integral part of the Unison platform's architecture. They use the ERC-4626 standard and are responsible for securely holding and managing users' deposits, issuing vault tokens (uTokens), and facilitating withdrawals.
In addition to these core functions, Unison Vaults also play a key role in the performance and management of strategies on the platform. Strategies are deployed on various protocols and chains to generate yield, and they report back to the vaults on their performance, liquidity, and annual percentage rate (APR). This enables the vaults to ensure that the strategies are operating efficiently and effectively, while also providing transparency and accountability to users.
### Vaults & Strategies
Overall, the combination of vaults and strategies allows Unison to provide users with a powerful and flexible way to earn yield and compound returns on their investments, while also ensuring the security and stability of the platform.
Unison vaults are a key component of the Unison platform, utilizing the ERC-4626 standard to securely manage deposits and issue vault tokens (uTokens). These vaults act as the intermediary between investment strategies and their underlying assets, receiving reports on metrics such as performance, liquidity, and annual percentage rate (APR) from the strategies.
Strategies, on the other hand, are responsible for actively seeking out and taking advantage of yield-generating opportunities on various blockchain protocols. By compounding returns on a weekly basis, these strategies aim to maximize the overall return on investment for Unison users. Thanks to the flexibility of Unison's architecture, strategies can be deployed on any chain, allowing for efficient yield generation without negatively impacting the APR when scaling up.
### DAOS
"Unison is developing a comprehensive treasury management platform based on its core architecture. On this platform, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and fund managers can easily create self-custodial vaults and integrate a variety of investment strategies, including those already available on Unison or those developed in-house.
One of the major challenges faced by DAOs is capital efficiency, as current solutions in the market are not tailored to their specific needs. By providing the ability to create their own vaults, Unison empowers DAOs to have greater control over their treasury holdings and how they are deployed, leading to more efficient and effective use of their capital."
Unison is developing a solution for effective treasury management that leverages our core architecture. On our platform, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and fund managers can create self-custodial vaults and integrate existing strategies from Unison or develop their own. Currently, there is a lack of specialized solutions in the market that address the issue of capital efficiency for DAOs. By allowing users to create and customize their own vaults, Unison enables more precise control over treasury holdings and deployment strategies. This helps to ensure that treasury assets are utilized effectively and efficiently, maximizing the return on investment for the organization.
### PUBLIC
"Unison offers a range of risk-adjusted vaults that are available on all the chains supported by LayerZero. Our platform enables users to make cross-chain deposits to a central vault on Arbitrum, which then allocates the assets to the most efficient investment strategies.
For each asset, there are two types of vaults available: Junior and Senior vaults. Users can choose the appropriate vault based on their risk appetite and investment objectives. The Junior vaults are designed for those who are willing to accept higher levels of risk in exchange for the potential for higher returns, while the Senior vaults offer more conservative options with lower risk but also lower potential returns.
To learn more about the various vaults and strategies offered by Unison, you can refer to our documentation on these topics.
### LENDING.
Unison is developing a money market protocol that utilizes our existing vaults as the foundation. This protocol will allow users to take out zero-interest loans using their collateral as security. In return, lenders will be paid by deploying the collateral in Unison vaults, where it can earn yield through investment strategies.
By offering this service, Unison aims to provide users with a flexible and convenient way to access capital without incurring high interest rates. At the same time, lenders can earn a return on their investment by participating in the money market and providing liquidity to borrowers.
