# General informations MA Media Design

## Building H opening hours
You can access the bulding between 8.00am and 10pm during weekdays. Please kee in mind the building will close at 8pm sharp.
On Saturdays, the building is open from 9.00am to 6pm. On Sundays, the building is closed.
Make sure you keep your badge (white card) to be able to access the building, especialy after 5pm.
## Media design office hours
Alexia Mathieu's office is on the 2nd floor of Building H. You can always come to ask a question, share a concern or ideas. You can always contact Alexia by email, through Teams or Slack.
Hours: Monday & Tuesday: 9am to 6pm
Wednesday 8.30am to noon.

## Printers access
Several printers can be accessed in Building H.

Computer are available in free access at the library or in IT room in Building H and Building A.
#### Wifi networks
Two Wi-Fi networks are available in the bulding :
Eduroam and HES-GUEST.
We recommend you use it in priority Eduroam. It's faster and more stable. For logging in, you need to use login AAI version HES-SO (loginaai@hes-so.ch) and your AAI password.

#### Cinema4D via Maxon One
HEAD - Genève provides educational licences to the Maxon One Student 6 months licence to C4D. Please not that it is important to register with your @hes-so.ch login. ## MA Media Design equipment & labo
### MA Media Design labo
You have open access to the electronic/ welding and 3D stations. Please make sure you leave the space as clean as possible after using it.
The labo is open all week. All MA Media Students are responsible for making sure this space remains clean and organized.

If you want to borrow items from this list, please contact Cyrus Khalatbari and Nicolas Baldran by email, Slack or Teams. They are present on Monday (Cyrus), Tuesday (Cyrus & Nicolas) and Wednesday (Nicolas) from 9am to 6pm so make sure you anticipate what you need for your projects.
You are responsible for the material that you borrow. We expect that you will bring it back in good condition with all the cables, plugs etc...
## Technical workshops & Pools at HEAD – Genève
You can find all the information on the HEAD – Genève website, regarding opening hours and contacts for each pool > Under "For Students" tab.
Please note, that any purchase of equipment and supplies in the wood and metal workshops must be paid immediately using the electronic payment card (white card). No credits are allowed. You should always ask for a receipt after making any payment.
## Procedure for renting MA Media Design equipments (electronics and IoT parts)
1. Open [the spreadsheet document](https://hessoit-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/chloe_michel_hes-so_ch/EZA8m1LotQ1DiP72zmIjMMsBM63auxkkSZWUB6LjwDZx3g?e=glAOuR).
2. On the read-only "Materiel" tab, make sure the item you wish to borrow is available under the "Available" column. If the cell indicated "0", the item is not available to borrow.
3. If available, copy/paste item's cell on the "Reservation" tab. Fill the required information, including 1) your name, 2) the starting date, 3) the return date of the reservation.
4. When filled, send both Cyrus and Nicolas an email with the item's reference you wish to borrow. If in the open blue/red storage shelve of Labo éléctronique, you can start using it. Important: make sure it is usable and not damaged. If damaged, let us know immediately. If in the MD's closed locker, we will come lend it to you as soon as possible.
5. Send us [Cyrus and Nicolas] an email when ending your reservation. If the item belongs to the open storage shelve, place it back in its respective drawer and toggle the cell's "Returned" column to yes.
6. If from the closed locker, we will schedule the return with you when possible and terminate your reservation.

### The basement workshops in building H
It is mandatory to contact the AI secretariat : <anne-lise.ollier@hesge.ch>
You need to pay a deposit of CHF 50.– to be able to access these two spaces. These two workshops do not currently benefit from any cleaning services. Each person is responsible for cleaning their workplace and respecting the sorting of materials.
- Painting Workshop : This workspace is intended for the creation of models or wooden objects. It is equipped with a paint spray booth.
- Plaster/Sagex Workshop : This workspace is intended for creating projects that use plaster, concrete, resin or polystyrene mainly.
