# 2023 Contributor Rewards
## Evaluating value
Basically, we want to reward people to do things that add value to the Meta-DAO. If we do that, then people will naturally gravitate to doing things that add value.
There are two kinds of work: work on revenue-generating products and work on internal tools (e.g., the futarchy site). I think the former is at least 4x more important than the latter. If you have revenue-generating products but shitty tooling, it's easy to get people to come build good tooling. If you have no revenue-generating products but good tooling, it's not easy to get people to come build revenue-generating products. So we should highly-compensate the former relative to the latter.
The other thing that is highly valuable is *solving whatever pressing issue the Meta-DAO currently has*. This was applicable to Dodecahedr0x and 0xNallok, who stepped up and delivered a UI when we didn't have a functional one. I've put contributions in bold when they were like this.
### The case of Nallok
I especially want to highlight the case of 0xNallok. If I were to describe this netizen in two words, they would be "takes ownership." Between taking administrative rights of the Discord and doing an excellent job of expunging bots (remember when we had like 5,000 bots in the Discord?), adding necessary functionality to the UI, making markets, and cultivating potential business ventures, *the man gets it done*. We could all be more like Nallok. Literally, we could be! So I think it makes sense to incentivize people to try by giving him the largest chunk.

## META distribution
The price of META in the futarchic markets has been around $15. So this would lead to 533 META to Dode, 1000 to Nallok, 400 to Proph3t, 333 to Marie, 100 to Dean, 67 to Nico, 10 to Arnold, 10 to StrategicHash, and 33 to Bigz. **In total, this would increase the META supply by 2486 META, diluting each holder by ~20%.**
