###### tags: `MetaMoloch` # MetaMoloch Meeting 3/2/22 - papayamaia data shows quantitative but also need qualitative - need a breakdown of what this data means - Christina is looking at more qualitative, might not be a good fit with the python data. - **Christina interview doc:** https://hackmd.io/QCA2hQ3uREi6Z9zIDeXYkw - collecting data from the questionaires - biggest impact seems to be community in MC - it's not about ETH price, it's about human to human relationships - MC wants to know how to help right now **Christina reflections** In reflecting on the conversations I've enjoyed with MetaCartel Grant Recipients, I see a theme. Most projects funded seem to see success not based on how much funding they have received, but more so because receiving funding from MetaCartel feels validating. It is perceived, by the grant recipients, as a signal from the greater web3 community that their passion project is something worthwhile. This seems to not only provide more personal momentum, but also supportive momentum from outside the immediate project community, including expanding the project team, networking and more funding from other sources. - status of the interviews - are they published? - read through all MC and moloch interviews - sync or async? - take notes on readings and discuss concepts - 5-6 from each group complete - - affinity map - clustering ideas - end up with intuitive associations - find things that weren't represented as well ## Open Questions - how to quantify the interviews? - highlight words from the interviews to find themes/connections - 1 sentence synopsis of the value the grant imparted on the recipient - add them onto sticky notes and move them around to find connections - do we create a baseline? - allow it to naturally surface via affinity map - what would drive a successful project? - what is valuable to all of us individually and as whole? - How can we be most impactful within the Ethereum ecosystem? - Moloch - infra - MC - dapp - How do we ask this question to our DAOs? - Source it from members and give it to papayamaia to visualize - or go analog - where do these different initatives meet? - can the definition of infra be expanded? - How to improve transparency within these processes? --- **Moloch DAO questions** Here's some questions we have been contemplating at Moloch: 1. Where in the ETH ecosystem will Moloch grants have the most impact in 2022? What are some areas the DAO should be paying attention to? 2. How would you like DAO members to be involved in the grants process? 3. Have you felt that RBG has communicated work clearly or would you like improvements to be made? 4. What is the future for Ethereum? How might MolochDAO funds secure a positive outcome or be mobilized to avoid the negative? 5. What is your particular investment in Ethereum? How does your own protocol/product/role relate to the larger Ethereum ecosystem? 6. What is the future of MolochDAO? Are you satisfied with how it is currently structured or do you imagine alternative compositions, actions, or involvements? 7. What should be MolochDAO's policy on funding cultural initiatives? DAO initiatives? Non-technical research initiatives? 8. What are your thoughts on MolochDAO treasury diversification? 9. What are your thoughts on regenerative cryptoeconomic schemas? 10. What are your thoughts on the current culture of MolochDAO? Where do you think it should go from here? 11. If there was one thing you could change about MolochDAO, what would it be? 12. I'm also wondering if we might reduce overall coordination costs by creating a typeform that populate a spreadsheet. This might encourage abbreviated answers that are easier to extract comparable data from and could allow more members to offer feedback much more quickly. Do these interviews need to be conduct P2P? What are the pros and cons of doing so? --- ## To Do Outcome from the Interview Process, Homework for this week 📚: - What is the core value to the team that came out of receiving a grant from MC / Moloch - Write a sticky note on each project, each person on the team adds a sticky to Miro - Miro Board: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVOIBqNxc=/?invite_link_id=607943458948 - Next week we organize the stickies together to find the highest value focus areas ## Roadmap 3/9 - affinity map 3/16 - hypothesis 3/23 - start rough draft 3/30 - sync on draft 4/6 - MetaCamp IRL sync / remote sync 4/13 - final draft
