# Grant Recipients
Congratulations on being awarded a grant from MetaCartel! We’re excited to work with you and watch your project grow in the Ethereum ecosystem.

$1M is being allocated to grantees and other ecosystem contributors to support the builders and developers in the blockchain space.

Please read through this document carefully for grant support and distribution. Let us know if you have any questions.

## Expectations

### 1. MetaCartel as a Signal
List on your website MetaCartel as a financial supporter, inline with other VCs, Investors, Grants, and Strategic Partners.

### 2. Pay it forward
Allocate a portion of Airdrop to MetaCartel. Funds will be used as treasury for grant distribution of future projects.

## Grant Distribution Instructions
Grantees will receive their initial grant amount after they have submitted their proposal onchain in the MetaCartel DAO.

**Please review this portion carefully.** MetaCartel will be utilizing xDAI to distribute grants. Grants are denominated in USD but will be paid in xDAI. You must have an Ethereum (ERC20) address in order to receive your grant.

To get started:

Step 1. Install MetaMask in your Chrome browser

Step 2. Go to MetaCartel's DAO page

Step 3. Connect your MetaMask Wallet on the upper right-hand side

Step 4. Make sure you're on xDAI

Step 5. Click on "View Proposals"

Step 6. Click on "New Proposal +"

Step 7. Select Proposal Type: "Funding"

Step 8. Include your Discourse funding proposal
Remeber to copy and paste into: "Link"

Step 9. Request 1 Share as a Member

Click on "Additional Options" to show Shares Requested

If you submit for more than 1 share your proposal will get rejected

## MetaCartel Grantee Terms

Welcome to the MetaFam! We're excited to have you. You'll be able to create a funding proposal for your grant. These terms are accepted by the recipient(s) upon successful passing of the funding proposal.

### Terms

1. Treat MetaCartel like you would other investors. We're not taking equity, but we want to provide value also.
- If you list investors on your website or other media, include MetaCartel
- If you share a regular update, include MetaCartel in that (need to figure out internal logistics/desire for this)
2. Pay it forward
- If this adventure finds success, join MetaCartel as a member or organization
- Align with other MetaCartel fam
