--- tags: recruitment --- # Full-stack engineer @ Backd Backd is a yield aggregation and liquidity delegation protocol on Ethereum. Backd relies on different yield-generating strategies, which allocate liquidity to various protocols in order to generate competitive returns. Additionally, liquidity providers are able to specify a set of market conditions on which part of their liquidity will get automatically delegated or used for a specific purpose (for example, to top up an over-collateralized loan). While Decentralized Finance (DeFi) offers a lot of potential for building capital efficient products, often times capital is not used efficiently. Furthermore, automation of workflows is still rather limited in DeFi. Backd aims to solve that. By offering a suite of actions, which empower users to automate how their funds should be used, Backd enables users to earn yield on their capital until funds are needed elsewhere. ## Main responsibilities * Develop off-chain components used for Backd * Develop frontends, including Backd main UI as well as external and internal tools * Help with smart contract development and testing ## Requirements * At least 3 years of Working experience implementing web application backends (preferably with Python, JS or Go but other languages would work too) * At least 3 years of working experience implementing web application fontends (preferably experience with ReactJS, Redux and TypeScript) * Experience implementing web3 applications and interacting with blockchain systems (this can be on personal projects) * Understanding of how blockchain systems work (ideally Ethereum) * Understanding of best testing practices ## Nice to have * Experience with Solidity * Experience implementing off-chain systems such as arbitrage bots * Degree in computer science * Experience working with and contributing to open-source software ## Why Backd?
