# ID card/access rework
This is an attempt at salvaging the horribly implemented but somewhat interesting tg ID rework instead of just throwing all the work away.
Note that this does NOT change what kind of access each job has.
## Access Levels
ID cards will be cut to five (one to five) different access levels, and the amount of access of each level you can have on a card is not limited. As long as you have a card with sufficient access level you can add any access of said level to the card.
### Zero
Can't have access.
Meant for cards like the prisoner card and other roles that shouldn't have access.
### One
Basic access like maintenance and some departmental access, meant for roles like assistant.
### Two
Most departmental access is available on this tier, meant for most job roles.
### Three
Higher security areas in departments or outside.
### Four
Head level access like offices and such, meant for head roles.
### Five
High security areas and captain only acccess.
## Additional Access Chip (AA chip)
You might have noticed that with the levels there will be roles that need access to areas that require a higher access level than what is reasonable to give. That is where the AA chip comes in.
The AA chip is an item that can be attached to an ID card and has an immutable access which ignores card access level.
For example, the RD has a level 4 card, but needs access to AI upload which requires level 5. So, the RD gets an AA chip with AI upload access in it.
As mentioned the AA chip can be attached but also dettached, so you can take someone's ID and steal the AA chip from it.
