--- tags: Wiki --- # Guide to Access and IDs cards Are you confused with how IDs work on Merchant Station? Do you want to destroy the ID console from frustation? If you answered yes to any of those two questions you have come to the right place. ## ID tiers **NOTE:** any access that can't be added to a card due to too low tier is greyed out in the ID console UI. ID cards are split in to six tiers. Tier tells what access you can add to a card, for example you can't have the ID change access on cards that are under tier 5. ### Tier 0 No access allowed. ### Tier 1 Only very basic access allowed. This tier card only spawns on assistants and can be printed. ### Tier 2 Most access is allowed on this tier. This tier card spawns on non-command jobs, with exceptions given to jobs that require access to restricted areas. ### Tier 3 Highest normal job ID card. Roles that spawn with this tier of ID are the following: - Quartermaster - Virologist - Warden ### Tier 4 Head of staff ID card. Head of staff spawn with this tier ID card. ### Tier 5 Captain's ID card and agent ID. ## Additional Access chips AA-chips are a solution to the problem of jobs requiring higher tier access while not being important enough for higher tier ID card. All access that goes over the limit of the ID card's tier go on an AA-chip that is attached to the ID card. AA-chips can be deattached from cards with a screwdriver with the last added chip being removed first.
