#### Disadvantages

It's expensive and difficult to connect a branch of different location and have that connectivity you want.

## WAN Topology

### MPLS
(multiple protocol label switching)

With MPLS we have to tell our internet provider or our carrier. "I want all my staff to connect and talk"


Private
why is private ?
Because, MPLS crate virtual circuits.
Basically, little private networks just for us.
Our traffic is totally separate from the other user

So, how they do that.

The key is "label switching"

MPLS(2.5 layer)


MPLS apply a label saying "I an Meowhecker company traffic "

IF we have this label carry to all network, they will know this is just for meowhecker. No one else can see this.

MPLS is going to put this on its own private virtual circuit. safe and secure.

That is why us will hear MPLS referent to as MPLS VPN

And then, MPLS is no necessarily to encrypt the traffic. they just only use label that can do network traffic separate and safe, Using the label switch inside of the the carrier's network.

Our connections into the MPLS could or the MPLS network for our carriers which is the layer three
