It offers a wide range of customizable templates and tools tailored to the needs of scientists, allowing them to create professional figures for research papers, presentations, and posters. --- ### Blend figure with the poster background While the free version of BioRender does not allow you to download illustrations with transparent backgrounds, you can achieve a similar effect by changing the color of the illustration to match that of your poster. The comparison of the two images is shown below: ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06QKGLN882/screenshot_2024-03-20_at_6.20.12___pm.png?pub_secret=7ccbd5524c =300x) ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06QN0LT76Y/screenshot_2024-03-20_at_6.20.18___pm.png?pub_secret=c0a889dcf5 =300x) Watch the video for step-by-step instructions! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vtqWebdb0bQ?si=wdDWF5IcEgflx-Q8" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> ### Increase Resolution The free version of BioRender limits image resolution downloads to 72 dpi. To optimize this, you can increase your figure size to the maximum allowable amount. **With canvas size: 6.78 x 2.81** ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06R8C2EYAC/mcb197_samplegraphicalabstract__1_.png?pub_secret=3d0ff2710d =700x) **With canvas size: 16.75 x 6.78** ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06QN0YBJF6/mcb197_samplegraphicalabstract__2_.png?pub_secret=7d715e9650 =700x) Watch the video for step-by-step instructions! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dIeYDJFKLTE?si=6NYmR6BMtDdpTE_e" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> ### Maximize Number of Figures The free version of BioRender has a five-figure limit. However, you can maximize the number of illustrations you can create by adding as many objects as possible to a single figure (or canvas). Keep in mind that there is a 100-object limit per figure. ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06QKKRVBNX/screenshot_2024-03-20_at_7.23.27___pm.png?pub_secret=95c31a1f97 =200x) ![alt text](https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T0HTW3H0V-F06QYDRJKB3/screenshot_2024-03-20_at_7.30.40___pm.png?pub_secret=7ff45dcc24 =500x) Watch the video for step-by-step instructions! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Li9s5gPmJDY?si=UhJFhTpEp-FPW6H7" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> ## More Biorender resources [Biorender Learning Hub](https://www.biorender.com/learn?utm_source=marketing_site_topnav) [Biorender Basics](https://www.biorender.com/learn/biorender-101-webinar) [Biorender: Designing graphical abstracts](https://www.biorender.com/learn/designing-graphical-abstracts) [Biorender: Aligning Objects](https://www.biorender.com/learn/4-ways-to-align-objects-in-biorender) [Using the 'color-picker' tool](https://www.biorender.com/learn/using-the-color-picker-tool)
