# HAA Virtual Gallery
### A pilot project for HAA 265R - [Topics in Northern Renaissance and Baroque Art](https://haa.fas.harvard.edu/classes/haa-265-topics-northern-renaissance-and-baroque-art)
#### STEP 1. Create an account on https://www.spatial.io/
- Then, you can choose your avatar.
#### STEP 2. Import the 3D model of the Teaching Gallery
1. **Select +CREATE A SPACE in the upper right hand corner of the screen.**

2. **Select Upload Custom Space**

3. Select the three verticla dots next to the share button
4. Select "Environment"
5. Then Select "Upload Custom Environment" and drag in the [GLTF file](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dC6_J1f7bTpDIOOWEa4rDXi1C-lZjUnW?usp=sharing)** 
7. Select "Edit" when Spatial asks you how the position of the file looks
8. Edit the entrance point until your avatar will spawn in the middle of the gallery
9. Then click "looks good
You're all set! You now have your own virtual gallery ready for content. Move on to the next step to begin populating the virtual space with your objects.

#### STEP 3. Add your objects.
- Choose one of the bays for your exhibition.
- Click the (+) button on the bottom of your screen to add your own content to the space.
- You can also drag and drop any items from your desktop into spatial.
- Use your cursor or XYZ sliders to transform the item.
- Put number 90 to the 'Rotation'
- Or click the item to move it's position. (less controlable, better to use XYZ sliders)
- 'Scale' the size of your images.
- Click the [lock] icon on the item if you don't want it to move when clicked.
#### STEP 4. Edit your images and texts
- Click the image (with unlock mode), click [info] botton to add and edit the text for your images.

- Sorry. There is "undo" button.
- Be careful. Do not put the images into the wall. lol.
#### More Steps to do:
- Film or screen shot 'you' walking in the gallery with the carema botton, documenting your own experiences.
- Connect VR headsets to experience your exhibition in the gallery. (click [Pair Headset])
