**The server's currency is called the Suncoin. These coins are denoted with the ❂ currency symbol in chat. The money can be used for buying, selling, and transfering money to other players.**

**Additionally the currency can be converted in to the equivalent held-item. The suncoin item can be used to buy and sell at the server shop and for playing the casino.**

##### The start
All new players to the server start with a total of 3.000 suncoins. This can directly be used to buy some items at the server shop to get themselves started. To see how many suncoins you currently own you can use the `/money` command.

##### How To Get More Money
There are several ways of doing so. In most cases the player supplies something and gets paid by other players. Here's just a few ideas to help you on your way.

###### Employment
You could offer your services as an employee, saying you will go gathering resources for another player. They'll often pay you for your help. Any players willing to employ you would use the `/pay <player> <amount>` command.

###### Trading
Why work for someone else and get paid when you could do it all yourself. Cut out the middle man. Go exploring and gather resources, offer to sell them to other players in chat. Anyone wanting the stuff could teleport to you and use the `/pay <player> <amount>`. You can then drop the stuff in front of them, for them to pick up.

###### Auctions
Similar to trading where you offer stuff for sale, except several players can bid against each other.

To start an auction you hold the item you wish to auction in your hand and type `/auction start <quantity|all> [starting bid]`. Once you enter the command the bidding will now start for a limited amount of time.

After-which, if there's been any bids, you get the the cash and the player who won gets the items automatically.
*Keep in mind that there's a small tax on items sold through auctions.*

- `/auction bid` allows you to place a bid on an active auction. The amount is the maximum amount you'll bid.
- `/auction end` will end the auction and sell the item to the current highest bidder.

###### Casino
A rather risky venture. Go to [the casino](/wiki/casino-and-gambling) using the `/casino` command and buy some casino coins using the buy signs or the `/casinocoins` command.

###### Lottery
Another form of gambling is the lottery. It works like any other type of lottery. You buy an amount of tickets and if you get lucky you win the lottery pot. The lottery fund is based on how many tickets are sold. To purchase a ticket you can use the `/lottery buy <quantity>` command. The price of a lottery ticket is a 100 suncoins. The lottery is drawn once every hour.

- `/lottery` gives you basic information about the time remaining and the amount of tickets sold.
- `/lottery winners` lists the ten latest winners and their money reward.

###### Voting
One of the easiest ways to make money, and to help out the server at the same time! Use the `/vote` command and vote on all websites shown. You'll get 250 suncoins per vote, and have a chance to win some items in-game as well. If you vote a lot you might get rewarded for doing so in our [monthly top voters ](/wiki/top-voters-rewards) event!

The easiest way to get some money. Log in to our server every day and play for a couple of minutes. Bonuses increase when you log in consecutive days.
