# Dollaride Post Ride-Along Brainstorming
_Possible problems (not mutually exclusive) the product could solve_
## Focus on Underserved Areas
### Overview:
* Riders with no nearby route (live in transit desert, or their current transit needs are overpriced or ineffecient).
### Potential Next Steps:
* Identify existing research that shows possible target zones based on overlaying transit options (buses, subways, vans).
* Explore possible new routes, and even consider hiring a van to test a route and prime demand.
* Focus only on routes that arent already the most trafficked (Utica, Flatbush).
## Increase Ridership for Drivers
### Overview:
* Vans are not at full capacity enough of the time on existing routes.
### Potential Next Steps:
* Expand audience of possible riders through increased awareness by marketing to an expanded demographic.
* Conduct a survey of potential riders to gauge their awareness of and interest in leveraging dollar vans.
## Create a More Frictionless Experience
### Overview:
* The rider process is already incredibly efficient along busy routes when it comes to boarding, payment, and drop-off.
* For existing routes, the dollaride process needs to be faster and simpler than cash.
* Vans are not supposed to pick up passengers who hail them down.
* Provide drivers with a rider audit log through the app to meet the "reservation" requirement to assist with contesting tickets and demonstrating legal compliance.
### Potential Next Steps:
* Assist with compliance: if we can allow any dollaride user to get on any van that accepts dollaride we can then also generate a rider history for the driver.
* Use a 'Pair and Pay' system via QR codes or unique van ID's.
* Explore creating a dollaride-issued bank alternative so riders can transfer cash in via Zelle, Cash App, etc. and drivers don’t need to have a bank account.
