The 13 Phases of The Minecraft Infection

Through my time as a Minecraft player, I've noticed several basic stages an average player experiences when "infected". I'm sure you'll recognize these stages.

1. The Infection: Very little person discovers Minecraft on their own. Most Minecraft players are first introduced to the game by close friends, or read about it on the internet. I, for one, was able to discover it after a friend and I played at his house for hours. YouTube is also a cause of infection for a lot of people. 2. The Arrival: Once a player has played Minecraft it, they will be drawn to it. Badly. In either case, by pirates (shun them) or by buying the game, the player will acquire it. 3. The Begining The Beginning: This is the first time a gamer will play Minecraft. It will be a shaming game. The player will not know how to proceed! I had to watch six YouTube videos just to find out how to open Minecraft and begin a new world. 4. Who doesn't like survival mode. When a Minecraft player begins with the game, they almost never go into survival mode. In his mind the game is boring and hard, but creative is thrilling and fascinating. You can do almost everything! Fly! You can take down creepers! You can make full-on diamond armor! 5. Creative gets boring: The player has been playing Minecraft for about a week now. He only does one thing to build dirt homes and kill creepers using full armor and enchanted weaponry. It's a lot of enjoyable... Well actually it's getting boring. The player isn't very good, and there is no problem for him. It's time to play survival mode, right? 6. The Beginning of Survival Many players get bored with creative games and will turn to survival. The survival phase lasts for about one year. 7. The MADNESS: This is one of the most devastating stages of the Minecraft infection. A stage where a player is well-placed on a survival map but dies in chaos. The characteristic of this stage to help you identify it is the "engraged insane howl". 8. First Break: A player may typically take up to one month off from playing after losing diamonds or dying. 9. Cheating: The player can take a break and decide to come back to the game. He will pretend that he never died, and then hack his items back. 10. The Final If the player is skilled enough, he could eventually kill the enderdragon. He will then brag to all his buddies. 11. Second Break Second Break: Survival is over and creativity is boring. What's left for sick? 12. Creative: Most players will become creative about a month after they have been able to win survival. They will build houses, make mob arenas, and discover the highest limit. 13. The Divergence The Infected Player may take different paths after experimenting with different creative ideas. Infected people could show signs of multiple routes.

Route A: The player can begin to play on servers

Route B: The player will download maps to play

Route C: The player will experiment with redstone before becoming a professional

Route D: The player will download and create mods.

Route E: The server is hosted by the player.

Route F: The player will exit Minecraft.

Route G: The player will (much like me) build Minecraft custom maps.
Minecraft

Route H: The player will fall into a vicious cycle of greed and will become obsessed with Minecraft. The player will lose all of his friends and family.

Once you have a better understanding of the various stages of the Minecraft infection, you can start to recognize them yourself. Refusing to acknowledge the issue is not an option.
