# Skill system
The goal of this is to create a simple yet effective rather than an intricate and complex system to balance everyone into preferring to have the proper person do a task (MDs doing surgery, Engineers building stuff, Seccies chasing down/detaining criminals).
Upon creating this list, I noticed I could easily replace what TG is doing with skillchips with master level skills. I don't know how balanced this would be, but do keep in mind that unless you start out on the level below master, you're likely not going to get to it in a normal round.
Range = 0-20
Untrained = 0
Trained = 1-4
Proficient = 5-9
Experienced = 10-14
Master = 15-20

- First Aid
- More efficient with sutures/syringes/patches/CPR/etc
- High level gives you a chance to not use some first aid supplies
- Master grants you an innate mediHUD
- Biology
- More efficient and more successful at surgery
- Faster JOKER replenishment
- High level lets you notice people's genetic mutations and what step in surgery you need to do next
- Master level allows you to perform multiple concurrent surgeries
- Electronics
- Can build machines faster
- Better at hacking somehow?
- High level gives you 50% shock resist,
- Master lets you see what each wire does similar to station blueprints
- Mechanics
- Can build walls/robots/use tools faster and more efficiently
- Improved crafting speed, more recipes
- High level gives you a basic diagnostics HUD
- Master lets you have a togglable "t-ray"-esque pipe/wire view

- Can run very slightly faster
- Can mine faster
- Reduced strip delay
- Climbing into/over things faster
- Improved fireman carrying speed (fuck glove nanites)
- High level makes stripping items silent

- Are more accurate with guns
- Can pump shotguns quicker (Adds a delay to pumping)
- Decreased knockdown/stam damage
- Ability to grab and escape grabs
- High level allows you to dual wield firearms
- Master level prevents you from dropping items when knocked over

- Allows you to notice concealed items (suit storage, pockets) when examining people
- Allows you to glean more detail from bloodstains
- Better gambling odds
- High level allows you to examine things to see their sell price/stock parts/accurate reagent content without a scanner
- Master allows you to discern counterfeit nuke discs
