Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) | Research Data Management / Research Software Engineering
The designated goal is to realize the FAIR Data Principles across the entire field of mathematics and its applications. Our goal is the development of both an extensive benchmark collection and a benchmark framework for the evaluation and comparison of emerging algorithms on predefined test sets using comparable metrics. This includes developments of metadata and ontologies as well as the development of appropriate software tools in the context of Model Order Reduction and related fields of the Computational Sciences and Engineering. The position is also intended to support the project management, to represent the MPI Magdeburg in MaRDI task area meetings, and in work groups of the NFDI.

Particular tasks within the project will be the implementation based on a customized version of the Wikimedia technology stack, integrating the classical Media Wiki frontend and content management system and the Wikibase knowledge graph as data backend, including e.g.,
Implementation of persistent identifiers (PIDs)
Authorization and authentication (OAuth2, shibboleth)
Implementation of the mathematical knowledge graph and multiple math-specific extensions
Qualifications and Skills:
Master of Science or equivalent qualification
Experience in professional software development
Contributions to Open Source Software
