Children of children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered unaccompanied minors. Children between the ages of 2 and 15 may not travel unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is 16 years of age or older.

### How old does my child have to be to be addressed as an unaccompanied minor?
The service is mandatory for children aged 5-12 traveling to grow up.
Children under the age of 5 are not allowed to travel unless accompanied by an adult.
### Is there a flight limit?
Unaccompanied minors are only accepted on [Oman Air](https://medium.com/@manit8726/children-flying-alone-oman-air-minor-policy-b7edf7771aef) children's flights, excluding overnight transfers or layovers, when a parent or guardian arranges meeting and childcare at the transfer point.
### Agreement before departure
A parent/guardian must be:
* Name, age, gender and spoken language of the unaccompanied minor
* Details of the journey covered by the Oman Air ticket
* Name, address, telephone number of contacts at the airport of departure, airport of arrival and at the airport of transfer, if any.
* Special instructions for diet, air disease susceptibility or any other great information
* Print or custody statement and signature
* Oman Air Juvenile Policy Detention Release Certificate.
### In the airport
* A member of Oman Airport's minor policy will be activity for:
* Pick up the unaccompanied minor from a parent or guardian.
* Attend all check-in and departure procedures and UM escort to the aircraft.
* If the instructions route requires a transfer, a member of Oman Air Customer Service Staff will see you safely on board the connecting flight.
* UM, the bag with the instruction documents will be handed over to the senior flight attendant on board.
* On board, your child will help sell it and a cabin crew will be assigned to look after them.
* The child will be informed about the company of the seat such as the talk button, lights and entertainment channels.
* Show your child how to put on and take off the seat belt.
* Offer play set or coloring book.
Check regularly for children, food and drink, general comfort and the need to go to the toilet, etc.
Prepare children for sleep and if not, keep them busy with games, chat and arrange to visit the flight deck with the pilot's permission.
