And we get a sponsor to pay for mailing any postcard mailed through here. Can be combined with quiet room :-) ### Quiet room Loved what JSConf EU had, spent a good chunk of time in there: https://twitter.com/keywordnew/status/1134830590333726720 Also, looks like folks look for a place to recharge if they can’t find one at the venue: https://twitter.com/slsoftworks/status/1188529704602624000 ### Origami templates A conf printed origami templates (we could do it on the back of some information sheet) and people built them and left them around: https://twitter.com/fetis26/status/1134955897174810624 #stealthorigami #silentorigami ### Let’s not order shirts Loved what JSConfEU did with screen printing. You could buy a shirt and custom print with templates or you could bring your own! I brought my own and was able to pack one less shirt for the trip home :p It’s less wasteful, we don’t have to optimize size order quantities etc. And it becomes a fun event. ### Region-specific free ticket quotas I was at a conference in Amsterdam recently and was one of the few overseas folks. I also reviewed diversity scholarship applicants for Node&JS Interactive. Many people from different parts of the world applied; I interpret that as demand. Could be constructive to allocation a small number of free tickets to different regions of the world. It’ll be tough without covering travel but it could encourage diversity. This could also be a pitch to smaller sponsors. If sponsors are looking to expand to certain regions, they could sponsor diversity tickets for that region and their scholarships will reflect that. For example, Revolut is releasing multi-currency debit cards in Singapore. Let’s say they are also releasing an API for a payments platform: the scholarships would read “Revolut scholarships for Singapore residents”. ### Dinner with strangers ![Uploading file..._z87vpub48]() ^^ Nordic.js did this. Hawaii.js did as well. Allow people to opt-in to dinners with random attendees. Good feedback from folks Manil spoke with at OpenJS Collaborator Summit. ## Give people a EUR 5 gift card to continue the conversation with someone they met that day https://t.co/sEuD34IV2D?amp=1
