**FEMINIST ART COLLECTIVE - 3nd meetup**
Date: 20.07.2019
Location: Laura’s place
Time: 20.30 -
Protocol: Rafaela, Laura
Present: Andréa, Laura, Rafaela, Emely
**TOPS**
- Create a room called “hersteria”
- Rafaela and Laura want to go with the flow rather than having a defined topic
- Catcalling workshops / getting in touch with organizers
- Andreas anti-catcalling technique: look/act “crazy”, make sounds, embarrass the men
- Anti-dance technique: freeze, make weird face, turn away
- Perform show (Parwaneh plays music), singing and writing own songs + poledance
(Andrea+Emely), theatre play or musical 8 mins, Kali also sings
- Deadline? We need at least 6 months. 9-10 months from now, September is the most
successful time of the year, let’s plan for April/May or August/September/October 2020
- We should start looking for a place at least 6 months in advance
- Regular meetings with the group to create art together - every month, use different mediums, evolve as a group, balance between different mediums and art forms
- Writing compliments to yourself on the mirror
- Interactive art (with visitors), example: Yoko Ono exhibition
- Topic: Feminism (we don’t have to create feminist art, because just by organizing this as a
women/LGBTQI* group makes it feminist), Queerness, Mental Health and Trauma (draining,
let’s try and also focus on positive sides), seasons (spring- flowers, smells, colours, …), new
feminist decade 2020/feminist utopia - everything is different than we know it from now
- Giving audience hint or not? > what the exhibition is about
➢ What is your feeling about this exhibition? Box and written notes, electronic tablets with
survey on Instagram (feelings about the exhibition) – see results, emotions on a wall –
every emotion’s got a color, sticker puzzle
- When start advertising? March 2020
- Collecting keywords for the exhibition from the group (3-5 words each by 10th of August), but
avoiding too concrete things like for ex. trauma, catcalling, because not everyone wants to talk
about those topics. Let’s have a common ground, for example a color
- Do we need a bar license to give away food and drinks?
- Collect different ideas for art mediums and make group meeting to try it out and get to know
each other better (growing as group)
- Maybe meetings would be more effective if we make the talking part shorter and than do
something else together (bowling, climbing, …)
**ADDITIONAL NOTES**
