# injected web3 / status integration for boardwalk

## some initial thoughts
I think we're not doing the right thing storing the wallet in browser especially since we're being paid to do this by status :) So i want to look into how we can change this soonish.
The idea is to check for an injected web3 provider such as MM or Status and then give the option to use that account to create a new user in swarm city. Then we store username and hash to avatar pic somewhere

But in general, it's mostly the same thing. Instead of the password modal we show something about "please sign the transaction / tap the card / confirm in metamask / whatever" and that's basically it.
Of course the login would be slightly different as well, but nothing much. And the backup file would only contain metadata, no encrypted wallet.
If course, for things like creating or funding an item, we need two transactions, which isn't great.
