###### tags: `RAW DAO` # Update to the Curation and Compensation Systems ## Context Recent macroeconomic conditions have led to a slowdown in NFT trading and demand, promoting a strong flight to quality in art markets such as the NFT photography market. RAW assembled a precious and diverse collection of NFT photography in the last 12 months, including many of the canonical collections available in the space. In light of this context, we're proposing to halt acquisitions to preserve capital while we observe the evolution of demand for art NFTs. Since the curatorial activity is the only ongoing work in the DAO, this will also entail halting compensation efforts for the time being. ## Proposal The proposal consists of the following measures: 1. Halt the current curatorial efforts as approved on previous proposals, including both the ad hoc and community curation mechanisms; a. occasional future acquisitions shall happen through a Snapshot proposal with a minimum quorum of **10% of floating $RAW tokens** and minimum voting period of **7 days**. 2. Given the ensuing absence of work to be performed in the DAO, halt the compensation system established on previous proposals; 3. Cancel all pending acquisitions to preserve RAW's resources. ## Closing Remarks We will remain observant of developments in the NFT photography market, ready to ramp up operations shall favorable conditions arise.
