# We protest against how opaquely and how untruthfully the Community Balance Change was made
## What Happened.
- On 2020-06-22, the Community Balance Update was [announced](https://twitter.com/Robocraftgame/status/1274999079437840386).
- The update went live as announced, and written on [the Patchnote](https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/301520/view/2456099173727229949), says some “great community members” (GCM from now on) made the decision of the update details.
- Who the GCMs were, was not announced at all, and how they were picked is unknown.
- The sequence of events was never announced beforehand, and casual players (players who wasn’t involved in the patch) got to know it for the first time.
- The correct and exact patch notes were leaked before the official announcement.
- At least 1 tweet was seen on Twitter the day before the update. (Could be a reprint)
- Update leaked in a Discord server in the EU.
- High possibilities of GCMs participating in the Robocraft League (RL from now on)
- RL is a community base event, but [Fj has officially sponsored](https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/301520/view/2380663244837959865) it by giving out a prize for the winning team.
## The problematic points about this Balance Patch.
- It is unfair against other players to make changes to the balance of a PVP Game “behind closed doors”, with limited numbers of people chosen in a hidden way.
- It would be unfair against other RL participants if the GCMs who did the balance patch played in the same league.
- This is a matter of the PROCESS of how the Balance Patch was made, and it doesn’t matter whether the GCMs actually got the benefits of the Patch, nor if they intended to get the benefits. Same as for if they could possibly get beneficial.
- The contents of the Balance Patch doesn’t matter, too.
- There is an issue about how they chose the GCMs, mainly because of these two reasons, and their discipline/awareness as a GCM is low.
- Leaking the information to a third-party.
- Participating in the RL regardless of their standpoints as a Game Balance Changer.
- **What would happen if a world-wide e-Sports title did the same thing before a big tournament?** (Ex. LoL, Apex Legends, R6S, etc…)
- It doesn’t stand to reason to slight the RL participants’ feelings even if it’s a small, community base tournament of a minor Indies Game title.
## Additional Information.
- Currently, there are 7 Robocraft players as a GCM, and a MOD in-game as far as we know.
- 2 of the GCMs are in the same RL team, and one of them started this whole idea to make the balance change.
- The MOD is said to be chosen because he has some experience playing in lower tiers.
