## Chapter Primer

The Syndicate, a mysterious paramilitary organization with resentment towards NT, successful in their theft of a space shuttle from NT Kappa, and loaded with rowdy, radicalized recruits launch their shuttle from Buttes Junction into orbit around Amantes, disappearing off telescopes moments later.

The chase begins for the shuttlejackers. With the invasion of the Regional forces imminent, the Syndicate chose the perfect time to spoil the fight to end up as strong as they were before the Corporate Wars. The Agenda is set, now it's time to put it into motion.

## Recent Events

Several hours earlier, civil unrest in Buttes Junction boiled over into rioting and violence. Portions of NT Kappa were compromised by rioters, and during the uproar, an unknown group of well-equipped terrorists stole one of their shuttles. The thieves returned to Buttes Junction with the shuttle, and used it to ferry a handful of rioters off Amantes. Following the theft, Nanotrasen Special Operations establish order in Buttes Junction, and confiscates any remaining weapons.

## Adventure Hooks

***Refugee***, still here after the evacuation orders, you wait for the conflict to boil over, hoping that it doesn't take you with it. Recent events don't make things any easier.

***Junctioner***, for you, today is another day on this ass-shaped asteroid that you call home. Some of your friends got rowdy and got on a bus to nowhere. Just another day in Buttes Junction. Just another friend you'll probably never see again.

***NT Special Operations***, from heads of staff to soldiers, NT Special Operations and the Central Command Task Force are responsible for getting everyone back to Sol in one piece. Preferably.
